Our center utilizes world-class testing and validation infrastructure (approximately 85 major devices worth ~10 Billion KRW) distributed across multiple core facilities.

Demonstration Infrastructure

1. GIST In-house Environmental Testing Lab
   • Capabilities: Environmental chamber capable of reaching -40°C.
   • Features: Ice surface simulation panels and network emulators.
2. KOPRI Ultra-low Temperature Room (-80°C)
   • Used for extreme cold-shock validation for robotic joints and sensor viability testing.
3. KRISO Ice Model Basin (32m x 32m)
   • Provides vast, controlled ice environments to test gait stability and multi-robot navigation at scale.
4. Daegwallyeong Outdoor Demonstration Site
   • The ultimate proving ground for 24-48 hour full-system continuous operation in harsh winter conditions.

Major Equipment

• Computing: High-performance GPU servers and HPC clusters for Physics-informed AI and SLAM.
• Robotics: Multiple humanoid robots, wearable robots, 6-axis collaborative manipulators, and autonomous drones.
• Sensors & Optics: Spectrometers, high-resolution mid-IR cameras, and extensive motion capture systems.
